Chef Avi Bitton came out with a pop-up that will last only about a week, from next Sunday to Thursday, as part of which he will sell the "most delicious sandwich in the world", which is actually a meatball sandwich with matbucha, tahini and secret eggplant in Viznich's challah bun .

The sandwich will cost NIS 54 and will be available at the chain's three branches in Tel Aviv and Herzliya.

"Friday in Pardes Katz, where I grew up, would have looked pretty similar in my house and in the homes of all my friends. School would have ended early, we would play some more games outside before everyone dispersed to his house.

At home I was also waiting for my mother's shouts that I would not leave marks on the sponge she had just finished and also crazy smells from all the pots she had set up for Friday dinner.

One pot has always been there - a pot of meatballs.

"We children were allowed to steal patties from the pot, and in order to silence us and also quench the hunger of lunch, the patties were pushed into a piece of challah and thus was born the most satisfying and delicious sandwich to which we would add everything that was available in the refrigerator," says Bitton.

Cub Kam

The restaurant, from Thai House, is returning to partial activity based, in accordance with the law, on self-collection alongside a new concept of Thai street dishes served under the auspices of a standing snack.

The dishes will be sold on Wednesday and Thursday from 17:30 in the afternoon and will later be extended to other days.

Among the special dishes are chunks of barak or tofu roasted in lettuce boats, balls of spicy chicken legs, a thin portion of grilled butchers and many other good dishes.

The Romanian kebab stand from the Carmel market closed its gates, like many of its members, because of the corona.

However, owner Orit Moskowitz has invested some thought and has now reinvented herself with Romanian kebab packages that will be sent to the diners' home.

The packages can include, depending on your choice, a pound of Romanian kebab, a spicy Romanian sausage, a hamburger with Romanian seasoning, cabbage stuffed with meat, Ikra Romanian, chopped liver and even a hardened Romanian-style leg.
