From 18 to 23 and now 30 percent: When it comes to a specific question from ZDF's monthly “Politbarometer”, Germans apparently change their minds in the corona pandemic.

  • In the fight against the

    second wave

    *, the

    corona measures are

    being tightened again

    in Germany

    .

  • A

    survey

should show how the Germans take up the restrictions because of the

    Sars-CoV-2

    virus *.

  • Very different assessments were made between supporters of the

    CDU *

    and

    CSU *

    and the

    AfD *

    .

Berlin - When one's mind wavers amid the

Corona measures

, people would like to know how others

think or feel about

the

pandemic

.

Surveys

are not hard facts, but they provide clues.

The current

ZDF Politbarometer,

for example, now came to the result: Almost

a third

of Germans would like to see

tougher restrictions

.

30 percent

of those surveyed do not go far enough with the existing measures.

54 percent

consider the measures to be

just right

, 14 percent to be

excessive

.

In September only 18 percent and in October 23 percent were in favor of tougher regulations - although these have since been

tightened

in many places

.

At the same time,

71 percent

demand

that compliance with the measures be

monitored

more closely

.

62 percent

advocate higher

penalties

for violations.

And: only a slim majority of

52 percent

is of the opinion that people are currently

behaving

more sensibly

.

Corona measures in Germany: A clear trend can be seen at private parties

The approval of the individual requirements according to the "Politbarometer" in the overview:

  • Expansion of the

    mask requirement

    : 87 percent

  • Participation limit

at private parties and public meetings: 86 percent (answer: "correct") or 79 percent (at least a positive answer)

  • Curfew

for bars and restaurants: 54 percent ("correct") versus 42 percent (rejection)

Regardless of the

necessity, a

relatively large number of respondents find the restrictions

annoying

, specifically: when

meeting friends and family

(33 percent), when restricting

cultural and sporting events

(24 percent) and when

traveling

(19 percent).

Is Germany getting through the corona pandemic well?

Survey shows gap between CDU / CSU and AfD

56 percent

of those surveyed believe that their

health is at risk

from the coronavirus.

Nevertheless, a majority is optimistic:

81 percent of

all respondents believe that Germany will get through the pandemic "rather well" overall in the next few months.

Here supporters of the

CDU / CSU were the

most confident with 86 percent, those of the

AfD

with 60 percent the least confident.

The number of new corona infections remains high, for the vast majority of the population this is currently the most important problem in this country.

According to the #ZDFPolitbarometer, over 80 percent of those surveyed are confident that Germany will get through the pandemic rather well.

For the survey, the “Research Group Elections”
