Michel Fourniret and his ex-wife Monique Olivier are summoned Monday in the Ardennes to the scene where the serial killer is accused of having kidnapped and killed Estelle Mouzin in 2003, sources familiar with the matter said on Friday.

This trip, ordered by the examining magistrate Sabine Khéris, is the result of the confrontation between the two ex-spouses, on October 15, in Guermantes (Seine-et-Marne), on the scene of the disappearance of the little girl. age 9, upon returning from school on January 9, 2003.

The judge's goal, who resumed investigations in 2019 and obtained the couple's confession, is to rekindle memories of the 78-year-old serial killer, whose convoluted statements and neurological condition complicate the search for the body of the little girl.

"The program is not yet established, it will evolve according to the statements of the indicted and could be spread over several days",

indicated a source close to the file.

Michel Fourniret will notably be taken to Ville-sur-Lumes (Ardennes) to the house where Monique Olivier says he kidnapped, raped and killed Estelle Mouzin on the evening of the kidnapping.

The house, which belonged to Michel Fourniret's sister, was then deserted since her recent death.

The partial DNA of Estelle Mouzin was found in two places on a mattress seized in the house, where extensive searches were carried out at the end of June, in vain, to find the corpse of the child.

The couple could also be taken to the castle of Sautou, former property of

"the ogre of the Ardennes", a

few kilometers away, also excavated without success in June.

In Guermantes, Monique Olivier confirmed

"the involvement of Michel Fourniret in the disappearance of Estelle"

, in front of her ex-husband who rolled

"his eyes to the sky"

, had declared to the press Me Didier Seban, lawyer with Me Corinne Hermann Eric Mouzin, Estelle's father.

Michel Fourniret, indicted in November 2019 for

"kidnapping and sequestration followed by death",

had ended up confessing in March his responsibility in the case:

"I recognize there a being who is no longer there by my fault"

, had he declared to the judge.

He had also considered "relevant" the fact that the body of the girl could be in one of his former properties in the Ardennes.

In August, Monique Olivier, who had already accused her ex-husband of the murder of the girl, had in turn been indicted for

“complicity”.
