The number of Coronavirus cases registered in Europe exceeded 200,000 daily for the first time.
According to a Reuters statistics, Europe has so far recorded about 7.8 million cases of Coronavirus and about 247,000 deaths, indicating that European countries, including Italy, Austria, Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia have recorded the highest cases of coronavirus infection in one day during the past 24 hours.
The statistics indicated that Europe accounts for nearly 19 percent of the global infection cases and about 22 percent of the deaths globally.
Data issued by the National Institute of Public Health showed that the Netherlands recorded more than nine thousand cases within twenty-four hours, a new record. In turn, Germany, which recorded more than ten thousand cases per day for the first time, extended the warning against travel to Switzerland, Ireland, Poland, most of Austria and the Italian regions, including Rome and Europe as a region records more cases daily than India, Brazil and the United States combined.
