Former presidential candidate Ricardo Anaya, positive for covid-19

Ricardo Anaya has tested positive for covid-19, as reported this Thursday on Twitter.

The former PAN presidential candidate for the 2018 elections has stated that he has mild symptoms and that he will remain isolated.

His case comes a day after Congressman Mario Delgado, Senator Yeidckol Polevnsky and activist Gibrán Ramírez, three politicians from Morena, confirmed to be infected.

“Let me share with you that I just received the test results and I have COVID-19.

My symptoms are mild.

I will be isolated.

Take care of yourselves, ”Anaya wrote on her Twitter account.

The news coincides with a cascade of infections among public figures, just as health authorities begin to speak of the risk of a re-outbreak.

Delgado, Polvensky and Ramírez have actively participated in the dispute over the leadership of Morena, the party of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

After almost a year and a half away from the spotlight after his defeat in 2018, Anaya has recently returned to the public arena to criticize the policies of the López Obrador government, which he has described as "disastrous."

In the last month, he has published a series of videos with which he intends to draw a path for the opposition in the face of the legislative and state elections of 2021, elections in which Morena plays his hegemony and the opposition parties his relevance.
