A great idea is going viral on social media right now: the “Lantern Window” campaign.
“Exactly the right thing for Schongau and the surrounding area,” thought Beatrice Amberg from the “Schongau animated” association, since the popular “Living Advent Calendar” cannot take place this year.
Schongau
- "The idea came from a company from a small community in Baden-Württemberg," said Amberg and does not want to adorn itself with foreign feathers.
But taking part is not only allowed, but even encouraged in Schongau.
And it works like this: As many people as possible should place one or more lanterns in their windows facing the street from November 1st to 11th and illuminate them with LEDs or fairy lights.
Evening strollers could marvel at them.
The appeal says: "Since the Martin parade is unfortunately canceled this year in some villages, this is a nice alternative, especially for children." In keeping with St. Martin's philosophy, this campaign should give hope and be a ray of hope in this difficult time.
The Schongauer Nachrichten also participates in the “Lantern Window” campaign: Take part and send us a photo of your “Lantern Window” by email to lokales@schongauer-nachrichten.de.
It would be nice if you could write your wishes for those around you.
