The Internet is less and less free.

After researching 65 countries that account for 89% of Internet users in the world, Freedom House has concluded that this has been going on for 10 years.

In some cases, the US organization confirms, the pandemic is serving as an excuse for governments to tie up citizens shorter.

In more than 20 countries, excessive restrictions have been introduced, silencing users and the media for publishing criticism or unfavorable statistics about the coronavirus.
