This year’s wine and delicacy parade will be held online from November 11th to December 15th for 5 consecutive weeks. The event will include both online and offline parts. On the online side, there will be online shopping for alcoholic beverages, ordering food delivery, and Online master classes and other activities; at the same time, hundreds of restaurant discounts and gourmet activities will be provided.

According to the Tourism Board, the event includes the participation of more than 100 wine merchants’ online wine cellars; more than 530 restaurants will provide discounts and takeaway packages; and 34 “online master classes” themed on food and wine, such as Famous wine critics and professors taste wine, and famous chefs teach cooking.

Restaurant special menu as low as half price

As for restaurant discounts, the HKTB stated that more than 500 restaurants provide dining discounts, ranging from Michelin-starred restaurants to authentic street food, including selected menus at about 200 restaurants, with 50% to 30% off. Concessions; more than 160 street snacks will provide a discount of RMB 20 for spending over RMB 60; and a discount of RMB 40 for spending over RMB 120.

Peng Yaojia, Chairman of the Tourism Board, said that although large-scale events have been suspended for some time, it should be considered that they will need to coexist with the epidemic for a period of time in the future.

He described the arrangement as a new attempt under the new normal of anti-epidemic, and he hopes that the public can participate in activities without being affected by the epidemic, and the industry can also use this to promote products and increase business opportunities.
