This afternoon they were going to be discussed in the Justice committee chaired by Oscar Parrilli. They suspect that the ruling party also seeks to change the majority necessary for the appointment of the position.

"Kirchnerism seeks to pervert the spirit of our initiatives,

" considered the legislators of Together for Change who this Friday decided to withdraw from the Senate their two bills that modify the organic law of the Public Prosecutor's Office and were to be discussed this afternoon in the Justice commission convened by the Christian Oscar Parrilli.

They suspect that Kirchnerism seeks to relax the majority necessary to appoint the attorney and thus be able to remove Eduardo Casal.

I am not willing for my project to be used or manipulated to satisfy the interests of a sector

.

In a critical situation in social, economic and health terms, the Senate must be dedicated to the recovery of Argentina and the projects that make changes to these institutes need a debate in another context ”, Lucila Crexell, senator of the Federal Interbloque, told Clarín and author of one of the projects that was asked to withdraw.

Radical Martín Lousteau is the author of the other project.

Both propose to limit the mandate of the attorney, between five and six, but do not modify his election with an aggravated majority of two thirds.

The opposition distrusts that the commission was summoned to deal with those projects - the only ones on the subject that have parliamentary status - to modify the law and that the attorney can be elected with a simple majority.

As Alberto Fernández's candidate, federal judge Daniel Rafecas, has already announced that he will not assume if it is not with the endorsement of two thirds, in the halls of the Senate they point out that the candidate of Cristina Kirchner is the lawyer Graciana Peñafort, current general director of Senate Legal Affairs.

Lousteau and Crexell were scheduled to participate this afternoon in the commission to defend their texts, but after a meeting of the Together for Change interblock the strategy changed and they decided to withdraw them.

They presented a letter addressed to the president of the Chamber, Cristina Kirchner, announcing their decision.

However, the body has to approve the withdrawal of the projects.

In the grounds for requesting the withdrawal, they indicated that they were presented before the creation of the advisory council that Alberto Fernández created to analyze the operation of the Public Ministry and the Supreme Court.

That advisory commission, they point out, is the one that must determine "the convenience, or not, of modifying the current legal regime for the appointment of its holders and the possibility that their mandates are temporary."

In this sense, they reiterated: "The seriousness of the economic and social situation requires that this body deal with other emergencies, we consider that this is not the time to debate this issue."
