Virus forces you to hibernate

Culture, gastronomy, weddings, events: The second corona wave has an ever greater impact on the everyday life of people in the district.

And the number of new infections remains at a high level.

Fürstenfeldbruck

- The catering industry hits the second wave particularly hard.

The Marthabräu in Fürstenfeldbruck goes into hibernation from Monday.

"With the current regulations, another operation would be an ascension command," says managing director Markus Bauer.

The closure is in effect until further notice, but will not be forever: Bauer: "We'll be back."

Max Hippius and Martin Reiferscheid cannot say that about themselves.

The innkeepers of the gastronomy in the Germeringer Stadthalle give up.

You don't see any perspective.

There are also cancellations for the program of the town hall.

Weddings in Bruck only with a mask

A maximum of 15 people and a mask requirement: This applies immediately to weddings in the Bruck registry office.

Only the bride and groom and the registrar are exempt from the mask requirement if a minimum distance of 1.5 meters is maintained.

The bridal couple can of course get closer.

"We are assuming that the two belong to one household," says town hall spokeswoman Susanna Reichlmaier.

Culture shock in Groebenzell

The stricter rules hit the Stockwerk cultural center in Groebenzell at the bitterest time after what was already a difficult year: the singer Claudia Koreck should play the next concert.

It is considered an absolute crowd puller.

At normal times this means: 320 tickets, sold out.

Then there was only less than half available.

Now only 50 guests should come.

Whether Koreck will appear in the coming week is therefore in the stars.

Organizer Thomas Breitenfellner: "50 guests are not an option." With such a small number of tickets sold, it is no longer profitable.

Breitenfellner now wants to wait and see whether the incidence value may drop below 100 by the concert date on October 31.

Perplexity in the cultural office

There was perplexity on Thursday in the Puchheim cultural office, which is responsible for the PUC program.

Head Michael Kaller feels badly informed.

It is true that Prime Minister Söder mentioned rules for the dark red alert in his government statement, but does this also apply to the district?

After all, this has been above the decisive 100 newly infected per 100,000 inhabitants for some time.

So far there has been room for 100 people in the PUC due to corona.

Now it would only be half.

Kaller already had to cancel the performances of the cabaret artist Maxi Schafroth on October 23.

Event forum expects cancellations

The Fürstenfeld event forum is still waiting for official information from the government.

“As long as we follow the previously applicable guidelines,” says spokeswoman Marita Kuhn.

According to Kuhn, if the instruction comes that only 50 people will be admitted, a wave of rejection can be assumed.

"We try everything to hold events, but with 50 people that is often no longer economically feasible."

Discussion about masks in schools

The corona rules were also discussed at the meeting of the Upper Bavarian district administrators at Kaltenberg Castle.

It showed how different the infection process is.

In the Landsberg district, for example, there are no cases at elementary schools, as District Administrator Thomas Eichinger reported - and therefore there is no mask requirement.

But it is clear: if the numbers increase, that changes.
