Former Hong Kong Secretary General Huang Zhifeng was arrested for violating the injunction order during the Umbrella Movement in Mong Kok in 2014. He was subsequently charged with contempt of court by the Department of Justice and sentenced to two months in prison along with 19 other people in the same case.
Huang Zhifeng posted a post on social networking sites today (24), saying that he had received a letter from the Department of Justice earlier, stating that because legal aid did not cover all the legal costs of the hearing, he asked Huang Zhifeng for a total of 84,127.67 yuan in legal fees.
Regarding the costs being recovered after 6 years, Huang Zhifeng said that political prosecution not only consumes time, energy and physical strength, but also has financial pressure, describing the matter as "quite absurd."

Regarding the costs being recovered after 6 years, Huang Zhifeng said that he had no contact with him, and it was “not easy” to raise more than 80,000 yuan for payment.
Huang Zhifeng also said that thinking of contributing more than 80,000 yuan to the government coffers, he felt "very disgusting."
