The covid-19 pandemic has altered behaviors around the world.
EL PAÍS together with BBVA has organized a series of debates to try to answer some of the questions that arise in the midst of this contingency.
On November 12 from 8.30 in Mexico the third edition of
the No Money Forum will be held: the end of cash
.
Journalists and experts from the financial sector in Mexico will reflect on the present and future of the North American country, on digital banking, on mobile phone payments and financial inclusion and on how to boost consumption in difficult times.
The director of EL PAÍS América, Jan Martínez Ahrens, and Francisco Leyva, general director of Engineering at BBVA, will host the event, which will be broadcast live and will be free.
How is the banking recovery?
What measures are being implemented to reduce the impact of the health emergency on the economy?
What changes have been significant in users and their transactions?
are some of the questions that will be asked during the event.
Specialists such as Valeria Moy, General Director of the Mexican Institute for Competitiveness (IMCO), and Carlos Serrano, chief economist of BBVA, will participate in the round tables and conferences, who will comment on strategies to boost consumption in times of crisis.
Claudia Jañez, president of the Executive Council of Empresas Globales, and Lorenza Martínez, responsible for payments, finance and risk of Accenture México, will talk about digital banking and give advice for entrepreneurs.
Also Mauricio Pallares, director of Corporate Marketing at BBVA, and Germán Rojas, director of the ITAM economics degree program, will discuss the issue of cell phone payments, which have grown in Mexico and represent almost 10% of all transactions.
