The Feldafing fire brigade gets a boat.

The local council voted unanimously for the Feldafingers to buy their used boat from the Tutzing fire department.
Cost: 3000 euros, including two portable pumps.
“We have the only island in the lake,” said fire brigade commander Dirk Schiecke, emphasizing the need for a boat for the service.
The biggest advantage of the Tutzinger boat is its price.
A new acquisition would cost 100,000 euros, Schiecke had informed the local council in advance.
The Feldafing fire brigade is not just about being equipped for the rose island.
Fighting fires from the water is also important if a boathouse is on fire, said Schiecke in the council meeting.
As a rule, the hut cannot be saved, as the Bavarian Yacht Club in Starnberg has shown, replied Schiecke to a question from Stephan Zeckser (Greens).
"The boathouse is always gone, but it's also about saving the boats lying around it."
In other fires, too, it is important to be able to attack from the water.
This was confirmed by some local councils.
The fishing boat that was converted by the Tutzing firefighters is now being bought, but it will not have a berth.
According to the commandant in Tutzing, it didn't have that either.
In Feldafing it should find a parking space in the tool shed.
The Tutzinger wanted to keep the original pump previously used with the boat, said Schiecke.
“But they leave us two pumps worth 12,000 euros.
Then we have a working pump and a replacement, ”he said happily.
The Tutzing fire brigade took over the district's new disaster control boat in autumn, so the old boat was released.
A boathouse in Feldafing is not in sight despite lengthy discussions between the fire brigade and the lock administration.
“I thought we could hang our boat in their boathouse, but that won't work,” reported Schiecke.
The free space is reserved for those who live on Rose Island.
Schiecke is hoping for a solution, because “the palace administration wants us to come to the Rose Island properly.

If the fire-fighting boat is needed in the water, it will first be brought to the lake with a trailer according to the current state of affairs.
Schiecke has promises from the owners of the three private slipways in Feldafing that he may use their lake access.
In the future, when the Feldafing fire brigade has a new tool shed, one can use the crane attached to it and lower the boat with it.
When asked by Anton Maier (Greens), the commander confirmed that a crane would cause additional costs.
"We need the other one anyway."
