In Paraguay they confirmed the discovery of at least seven bodies in a container from Europe.

They were found this Friday in Asunción.

In statements to local media, the prosecutor in charge of the case, Marcelo Saldívar, said that in the morning the owners of an importing company contacted the Police to report that they identified a skull and a torso inside a container that brought fertilizers from Serbia.

As reported, it had been dispatched on approximately July 21 and arrived at a port in the country on October 19.

Criminalistics and forensic personnel found that the bodies are in an advanced state of decomposition, said the prosecutor from the Santa María neighborhood in the Paraguayan capital, where the discovery took place.

Preliminary data indicates that they were adults and, taking into account the food and beverages found in the container, it could be people who got into it to use it as a clandestine means of transport.

The authorities assume that the final destination was not Paraguay.

They presume that they died during the journey due to overcrowding, poor ventilation and food.

As well as the effect on her health having been around a shipment of fertilizers for so long.

According to the prosecutor, they also found documentation indicating that the people boarded in Serbia, although they do not know their nationality.

The forensic team is expected to carry out an analysis on the remains to determine the age, sex and origin.
