The members of the Fire Brigade and the Forestry Department in Tartous Governorate continue to work to extinguish the fire that broke out in the village of Bila near the area
Dweir Sheikh Saad in the countryside of the province.
Colonel Samir Shamma, commander of the governorate's fire brigade, told SANA that the fire was large and that it broke out in a very rugged agricultural forest area where there are no agricultural roads and it is difficult for fire trucks to reach them.
Shamma said that the firefighters are working with their full capacity and with special equipment in such cases and in cooperation with the people to cordon off the fire and not spread it, stressing that everyone is in a state of maximum alert to completely extinguish the fire in order to preserve the property of citizens.
