He conveys, develops concepts and, if need be, he cleans up garbage.

Now the city of Bad Tölz no longer wants to do without the services of Manuel Wilke am Blomberg.

Bad Tölz

- The main and finance committee of the Tölz city council has unanimously agreed to defer the position of the Blomberg coordinator.

As reported, Manuel Wilke has been employed for a year.

On the one hand, it should mediate between the various interest groups on the mountain, which is used both for tourism and for alpine farming, on the other hand, it should also work conceptually - and in an emergency, lend a hand if there is something to fix.

In the opinion of his employer, the city, he does all of this so well that one no longer wants to do without his services permanently.

For example, communication between all those involved on the mountain has improved, noted the spa director, Brita Hohenreiter.

"The flow of information about closures, construction sites, tree felling, condition of the roads and so on is very fast," she said.

"This has significantly reduced the complaints from the businesses on the Blomberg and the users."

"The cleanliness at Blomberg has improved considerably"

One result of Wilke's work is that "the cleanliness on the mountain has improved considerably".

"After a busy weekend for visitors, he is not too bad to take some things with him from the roadside in a garbage bag," said Hohenreiter.

In addition, Wilke is promoting the implementation of the “Blomberg Master Plan”, for example with the redesign of the “Discovery Path”.

"Overall, it can be said that the Blomberg coordinator is perceived and gratefully accepted by the various service providers and interest groups," said the head of tourism.

The cooperation with the municipality of Wackersberg, to whose municipality most of the Blomberg belongs, is meanwhile very close.

“It turned out as we had hoped.” Wilke's position was initially limited to two years.

The working hours of the Blomberg coordinator should not be increased

City councilor Karsten Bauer (CSU) was pleased that the city council had overcome its doubts as to whether the necessary "egg-laying woolly milk sow" could even be found and created the position of Blomberg coordinator.

The current positive experience confirmed the decision.

Anton Mayr (CSU) nevertheless warned: “I hope that the position will not be expanded to full-time in the future.” City treasurer Hermann Forster reassured: “We are not thinking of expanding the current 20 hours a week.

After all, he does his job in such a way that some problems disappear. ”According to Forster, the job“ doesn't give up more than half the job ”.
