The Syrian Trust for Development announced that the campaign of financial donations that it launched to support those affected by the fires achieved a great level of popular and economic response through good sums of money that reached the campaign's bank account and amounted to six billion Syrian pounds.
The secretariat indicated on its Facebook page that all families and individuals affected by their crops from the fires will be assisted with the full amount of the donations collected, indicating that this financial aid provided by the popular donation campaign, in which the donors from different governorates contributed, will be in addition to the support approved by the government to compensate the affected. It includes providing direct material support to farmers for the full value of the season damaged by fires.
The secretariat indicated that it will rely on the results of the survey and census collected by the central evaluation committees in each governorate, as its teams began their logistical and technical procedures in coordination with the ministries of agriculture and local administration, in preparation for the distribution of donations to the affected people during the next few period.
The Secretariat expressed its appreciation and thanks to all the donors for their initiative to help the affected people and their confidence in its national, social and development role.
On the eleventh of this month, the Syria Trust for Development launched a national donation campaign for the benefit of the affected people in the various governorates that were attacked by the fire.
Hundreds of individuals, businessmen, private universities, commercial, industrial and financial companies, and various events from unions, chambers of commerce and industry, and civil associations also contributed to this campaign of donations.
The donation campaign launched by the Syrian Trust constitutes an effective form of immediate social response to support those affected by disasters and crises.
