ESC Geretsried also scored at least one point for the third away game of the new season.
Kevin Olivo represented the still sick Geretsried trainer Rudi Sternkopf in Dorfen.
Captain Martin Köhler scored three goals for the ESC, including the important 6: 6 equalization.

Although the guests were behind twice in the first third, they led 4-2 in the first siren thanks to goals from Martin Köhler, Marek Haloda, Michael Hölzl and Daniel Merl.
In the second section, Dorfen was clearly on the trigger, managed to equalize and took the lead 5: 4.
"We almost only followed behind, we didn't implement what we had set out to do," reported Olivo.
The River Rats had their best phase in the last 20 minutes.
The home side's 6: 4 lead at the beginning of the final third was again shortened by Martin Köhler, who two minutes before the end also scored the acclaimed 6: 6 equalizer.
In the meantime, the game was interrupted because the main referee was injured.
In extra time, 47 seconds were played when Luca Trinkberger scored the winning goal for Dorfen to make it 7: 6.
