The Ministry of Economy and Industry in cooperation with the Population and Immigration Authority, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs formulated the procedure to help Israeli companies maintain their functional continuity during the challenging period.

The procedure will allow businessmen from abroad to enter Israel, from green countries, without the need for inspection or isolation.

As part of the new procedure, entry into Israel will be allowed only for visits whose contribution to Israeli companies or the economy is essential, and only in cases where the business meeting cannot be held virtually, as stated to allow the proper functioning of Israeli companies and prevent harm to them or the economy during the Corona period.

Another issue that has come up is how business people who have been on a transit flight or stayed in a red state before visiting behave.

Due to this, it was clarified that only visitors who were not in a red state during the 14 days prior to the flight to Israel will be approved.

If on the way to Israel the visitor arrived on a connecting flight via a red state, but did not leave the airport and did not stay at the red state airport for more than 12 hours, this crossing will not be considered a stay in a red state.

In order to arrive in Israel for business purposes, it is necessary to submit a special application, which will be examined by the Ministry of Economy and Industry and the Population and Immigration Authority.

Applications submitted will be approved based on a number of professional criteria.

The process of applying for entry into Israel for business purposes, including two stages: The first stage, the foreign businessman will fill out an online application form.

The second stage, CEO, VP or signing license on behalf of the host Israeli company, will fill out an application form in Hebrew, which can be downloaded from the Ministry of Economy and Industry website.

The Minister of Economy and Industry, Amir Peretz, welcomed the move and said: "The Ministry of Economy and Industry is working hard to help the Israeli economy continue to function during the Corona crisis. Today, when the skies are open all over the world, Israeli and international businessmen are unable to meet "In Israel, it is difficult. I believe that through this procedure, many Israeli and international companies will return to the Corona business routine, and help accelerate the economy in the Israeli economy."

Deputy CEO Naama Kaufen Pas said: "The outline works to help all Israeli companies interested in bringing businessmen to Israel for business purposes whose contribution to Israeli society or the economy is important and vital."

Ohad Cohen, head of the Foreign Trade Administration at the Ministry of Economy and Industry, said: "In order to meet the need of companies operating in international markets, we have set up a dedicated team to assist exporters, manufacturers and companies that raise investments or are required - for example - to train in Israel. "Inquiries from business entities from Israel and abroad as part of the process of examining applications."

"It is important to emphasize that the permit is currently intended for visitors from green countries only, but we are working to implement an outline for visitors from red countries as well," Cohen said, adding: "It is important that companies know they have economic attachments in more than 40 international centers.
