Flybondi ruled in harsh terms after the Government blocked the enabling of the

El Palomar

airport

to be used for the return of domestic flights.

And he clarified that he will not accept to operate from the Ezeiza international airport, the only one that would be enabled in the metropolitan area of Capital and Greater Buenos Aires (AMBA).

This decision had been made through the

Regulatory Body of the National Airport System (ORSNA),

which establishes in a resolution that the Ezeiza airport "is the only one where measures and processes have been adapted" to meet the new sanitary protocols.

With a statement entitled

"Palomar o nada",

the company that operates "low cost" flights spoke out against the ORSNA resolution.

"

Although the airline has not yet been officially notified

nor is any detail known about the scope of this measure on the El Palomar International Airport, it

is understood that it would point to it not continuing to operate

for any type of regular passenger air transport operations , thus causing the transfer of the company's operations to Ezeiza, "said the aviation firm.

He continued: "

Flybondi expresses its most absolute rejection of this decision,

whose arguments are fully objectionable and malicious; but what is even more serious is that it reveals the regulatory mismanagement and the total absence of planning and coordination, generating two clear victims : passengers and workers ".

Esteban Tossutti, president of the company, said that "flying from Ezeiza is not a commercial option for Flybondi" and that they are

"

going

to ask the authorities to review this measure.

He concluded: "

His decision shows the lack of respect for passengers who purchased tickets to fly from El Palomar and who until the last minute do not know where their flight will depart from, added to the thousands of passengers who can only travel by plane if they do so from an airport that can be reached

by public transport. We are

also very struck by the fact that in this context of economic complexity and deep crisis in the industry,

thousands of jobs are put at risk ".

As

Clarín

reported

, the two "low cost" airlines that have been using El Palomar,

Flybondi and JetSmart,

should move their entire operation to Ezeiza airport to be able to carry out domestic flights, as Aerolineas Argentinas began to do so on Thursday.

In the case of JetSmart, which had requested to start its flights since last Friday, the US capital company reported that the decision late on Friday to move them to Ezeiza

forced them to cancel all scheduled flights until the end of the month.

ORSNA's decision appeals to sanitary and technical issues, stating that El Palomar does not meet the requirements of a

"safe sanitary corridor."

And it concludes that "within the scope of the AMBA, the Ministro Pistarini International Airport in Ezeiza is the only one where measures and processes have been adapted in order to meet the aforementioned demand in safety conditions."
