The head of European diplomacy Josep Borrell on Sunday denounced the "unacceptable" remarks of the Turkish president towards his French counterpart, and called on Ankara to "stop this dangerous spiral of confrontation".

Recep Tayyip Erdogan questioned on Saturday the "mental health" of Emmanuel Macron because of his attitude towards Muslims.
