Multilingualism: the Creole language at the heart of a reflection seminar

The event, which will bring together "personalities and actors in the field of linguistics" is co-organized by the Ministry of Culture, National Education, as well as the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Overseas. Sea.

The General Delegation of the French Language and of the Languages ​​of France (DGLFLF) specifies that this day has for “ambition to make an inventory and to define the objectives of a balanced plurilingual French / Reunionese Creole policy in all the fields of the social life."

Chaired by the Prefect of Reunion Island Jacques Billant, this national seminar will take place for one day at the town hall of Saint-Denis.

A scientific council carried out a whole series of works to feed the analyzes.

The event, named in the local language, "Lang kréol dann kèr" (which literally translates to "The Creole language at heart"), will be broadcast live on the facebook page dedicated to this event.
