"Now that we are in the most difficult period in the history of the country, Mayor Huldai and city council members have decided to raise the property tax by another 1.1% for all city residents and buildings since 2010 by 5%," the interior minister wrote.

The Tel Aviv Municipality stated: "The city's property tax is the lowest in Gush Dan. The tariff update fulfills the desire for a fair and equitable charge."
