Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel affirmed his rejection of the new US unilateral measures imposed against his country regarding the prohibition of sending remittances to Cuba, noting that Washington insists on harming the Cuban people.
"The perverted intentions of the imperialist government because of its hatred of Cuba lead to discrediting it," Cannell wrote in a tweet on his Twitter account last night, stressing that the Cuban people "will not give in to these sanctions and unjust measures."
In turn, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez stressed that the United States insists on harming the Cuban people, noting that there is no criminal government that reaches this level in imposing policies that limit contacts, communication and mutual assistance between the families of the two countries as the US government does.
Earlier, the Office of Cuban Assets Control of the US Treasury Department imposed measures banning the use of the public license that allows sending money through transfers and conducting transactions with some Cuban companies.
Washington previously imposed restrictions on travel to Cuba and set a ceiling of one thousand dollars on any money transfers sent by any Cuban residing on American soil to his family in Cuba every three months.
