The former Minister of Finance and Finance Alfonso Prat Gay referred to the reappearance in the media of former President Mauricio Macri on Sunday and said:
"You have a need to speak, it is your right, but I also believe that Argentina continues
.
"
Prat Gay considered that "it is good to make some self-criticism" and that "you always have to listen to former presidents because they were in that place."
In that sense, he also recalled the recent statements of former president Eduardo Duhalde, who spoke of a "pre-anarchic state", and commented on him: “Beyond saying that he was not well, he himself said it, it does not stop being a former president with experience in the field ”.
Prat Gay was consulted about Macri's appearances in different media in recent days, and said:
"Everything has to be heard, but we also have to look forward."
In this context, he recalled that
"there are no cases in Argentina of former presidents who lost the elections and then are elected again
.
"
On the other hand, he assured that "the path the opposition has to take is the path it is taking. Together for Change, without clear leadership, but today the most important thing for us is to maintain unity, and that unity appear as an alternative for those who are getting tired of this management ".
"There is an independent electorate that does not marry either end of the rift. We as the opposition have to work, not for a candidacy, but for a change of course," he added.
Prat Gay served as Minister of Finance and Finance of the government of Mauricio Macri, and
left his position at the end of 2016
when the then president asked him to resign.
From that decision, Macri put Nicolás Dujovne in charge of the Ministry of Finance, and Luis Caputo in charge of the Ministry of Finance.
