Arnold Schwarzenegger, 72, is on the mend after undergoing heart surgery in Cleveland, Ohio.
The actor and former governor of California shared a photo in a hospital bed on Twitter: "Thanks to the team at the Cleveland Clinic I have a new aortic valve to accompany my new pulmonary valve from my last surgery."
He continued: “I feel fantastic and I have already been walking the streets of Cleveland enjoying its incredible statues.
Thanks to all the doctors and nurses on my team! "
Schwarzenegger also shared the news on his Instagram, where two of his children, Katherine, 30, and Patrick, 27, commented on the post.
The actor also has a daughter, Christina, 29, and a son Christopher, 23, from his marriage to Maria Shriver and his son, Joseph Baena, 23, from a previous relationship with Mildred Baena.

comes two years after he underwent a first

to replace a previous pulmonary valve replacement.
Then and when the interpreter was physically preparing to start filming
Terminator: Dark Fate
, the sixth installment of the saga that has marked his film career, he went for a medical check-up and the doctor told him that he had to undergo an operation to change one heart valve.
Schwarzenegger, given the proximity of the shoot, refused at first, but finally agreed when the specialist explained that it would be a non-invasive surgery, so that soon after he would be ready to continue with his exercise routine.

They told me that they broke the wall of the heart and that there was an internal hemorrhage, so I could have died if they had not opened my sternum for open heart surgery ", said the interpreter in a video that he shared on his social networks
The operation was more invasive than he anticipated and for weeks he was complying with breathing exercises to avoid developing pneumonia, in addition to walking with a walker.
“During my recovery, I slowly began to declare victories.
After taking my first 500 steps with the walker, I declared a victory;
when I regained my appetite, I declared another victory, "said the actor, whose main goal was to recover by August 1, 2018, the date on which filming began on

Months later, and already recovered, the actor revealed that he was close to dying.
Due to a congenital heart defect in 1997, Schwarzenegger also had to replace an aortic valve.
