On Sunday evening, hackers replaced the home page of several dozen French websites with a warning:
"Those who mistreat Allah's Messenger must be punished."
This message, accompanied by a photograph of Emmanuel Macron and a call for a boycott of French products, leaves little doubt as to the intention of its authors: to bring the protests from several Muslim countries on the web, including the Turkey, following the words of the President of the Republic on freedom of expression.

The affected sites belong to structures as diverse as a campsite, a manufacturer of insulating materials, or the library of a college in Seine-Saint-Denis.
Rather confidential, they were undoubtedly targeted by opportunism.
Indeed, it is easier for hackers to search for vulnerable targets than to attack a more established, potentially better protected group site.
No official site was affected.
