Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov called on the Turkish regime to work to ensure a ceasefire in the Nagorno Karabakh region and to start serious negotiations on settling the crisis there.
Yesterday, the Armenian Public Prosecution office confirmed that it had irrefutable evidence proving the participation of elements of the Turkish regime's army special forces in the hostilities in Nagorny Karabakh.
Russia Today quoted Lavrov as saying in press statements today ... We are working to convince the Turks of the feasibility of supporting this path, reiterating Russia's opposition to the military solution in the region and calling on all external parties to refrain from pushing forward the military scenario in the region.
The situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh region witnessed a sudden military escalation on the 27th of last September, at a time when the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides exchanged accusations about the causes of this escalation.
