The new crown pneumonia epidemic in Hong Kong continues. The Hong Kong Government rented the Rambler Garden Hotel in Rambler Crest, a private housing estate in Tsing Yi last Monday (19th) as a center for waiting for test results.
After the center was in operation for a week, some district councillors received complaints from residents, criticizing returning people who suspected that they would walk out of the room and smoke, talk and eat in the corridors. They were like a chicken coop. They worried that if someone carried the virus, it would pose a risk of spreading the virus.
Of the eight imported cases announced by the Department of Health today, four people waited at the Rambler Garden Hotel before being diagnosed.
In the Rambler Garden Hotel, returnees left their rooms, smoking, eating, or talking in the corridors.

According to the current airport entry quarantine procedures, inbound residents and passengers must immediately collect deep throat saliva samples at the temporary sample collection center in the airport restricted area upon arrival.
If they arrive in Hong Kong from the afternoon to the evening, they will be arranged to stay in a hotel and wait for the virus test results. If they are positive, they will be sent to the hospital. If they are negative, they can go home and continue the 14-day compulsory quarantine.
According to the quarantine order, the person concerned is not allowed to leave the room, let alone move around. The hotel will provide basic meals during the stay.
According to the videos and photos uploaded by Kwai Tsing District Councillor Guo Zijian, there are people returning to Hong Kong who are suspected of violating quarantine regulations and leaving the rooms in the corridors of the Rambler Garden Hotel. Put on a mask to talk and eat.
District Councillors complained to the Tobacco Control Office
In an interview with "Hong Kong 01", Guo Zijian pointed out that some of the units in Blocks 5 and 6 of Rambler Crest are facing the Rambler Garden Hotel. Many residents complained to him that the hotel allows returnees to enter and exit freely like chicken coops. In the room, the wine staff did not stop them from wandering in the corridor.
Guo worries that once a passenger has the new crown virus, it may cause cross-infection, "nothing will become something"; when they leave the hotel and enter the community, they may spread the virus.
Guo said that he had reflected the residents' opinions to the hotel, and he also stated that the hotel had responded that the above situation had not been seen; he had also lodged a complaint with the Tobacco Control Office, but had not received a reply.
Request the government to stop renting hotels for quarantine
Rambler Garden Hotel, Winland 800 Hotel and Rambler Garden Hotel are located in the same estate as the Rambler Crest. Guo Zijian said that he had seen people returning to Hong Kong who had been waiting for results and walked to the side of the tunnel to smoke. The only way to the hotel, worrying about becoming a gap in epidemic prevention.
Guo Zheng and the residents initiated a one-person, one-letter operation and wrote to the Food and Health Bureau requesting that Huayi be rented as a waiting test center.
