The Conservative polling station "Rasmussen" released a poll today (Monday) that gives incumbent President Donald Trump an advantage of more than one percent over his Democratic opponent, Joe Biden, in the presidential election that will take place in a little over a week.

This is the first poll since September that predicts a presidential victory at the national level since September and another poll published on the same day actually predicts a victory for Biden at the national level by a gap of seven percent.

The Rasmussen Institute has given Trump an advantage in the past and the president tends to quote from him, especially in polls concerning his performance as president.

Another poll published today in the state of Texas by the veteran newspaper "The Dallas Morning News" predicts a victory for Biden in the state of Texas by more than three percent.

It is important to note that the result is below the threshold of statistical sampling error and that the survey was conducted before the recent confrontation between Trump and Biden, which slightly changed the picture in other key countries.

Texas became a "swinging" state in the last election after being considered a Republican stronghold since the 1970s.

The last time a Democratic candidate won in Texas was in 1967. Despite the unusual poll published today, the average poll on the Real Clear Politics news site predicts Trump will win over three percent in Texas.

If, in spite of the polls, Trump loses in Texas, it may be the state that will decide his fate for a second term, since as the second most populous state in the United States, it is worth no less than 38 voters.

Meanwhile, President Trump came to the state of Pennsylvania with the goal of attending a large rally of his supporters.

Pennsylvania is considered a swing state and the president lags behind in polls in the state consistently and by a significant percentage.

A poll by the conservative television network Fox News published today predicts a victory for Biden in the key state, a victory far greater than the standard deviation gap.

Over 60 million Americans have already voted in the presidential election as part of the early vote.

Many made use of the postal voting option while millions of others stood in long lines on their way to the polls.

Democratic nominee Joe Biden today drew criticism after naming Republican President George W. Bush instead of Republican candidate Trump.

Biden hurried to correct himself and continued his speech.
