Occupied Jerusalem - SANA
Dozens of Palestinians in the city of Al-Bireh in the West Bank demanded today, during a stand of solidarity, the international community and human rights and humanitarian institutions to urgently intervene and put pressure on the Israeli occupation authorities and oblige them to implement international law and release the prisoner Maher Al-Akhras who has been on hunger strike for 92 days and save his life.
Wafa news agency stated that the participants confirmed during the stand in front of the Al-Bireh municipality building their solidarity with all prisoners in the occupation prisons, especially the mute prisoner who is fighting a historic strike with a firm will, the battle of empty stomachs in the face of the most powerful occupier in the world until freedom is achieved despite his critical health condition amid international silence.
The mute prisoner suffers from severe fatigue and inability to move, and there is fear that his vital organs will suffer a sudden setback, which poses a real danger to his life and is exacerbated every moment as the occupation authorities continue their flagrant violation of international human rights law and their refusal to release him.
