Chile chooses a new constitution

In the referendum held on Sunday, a strong majority voted in favor of rejecting the Constitution written during the Augusto Pinochet dictatorship and writing a new Magna Carta.

"This triumph of democracy should fill us with joy and hope," said President Sebastián Piñera after the historic day.
