Shops are known as farm shops that are usually directly connected to an agricultural operation.

A place where you can trust the quality, a meeting place.

Johanna and Raphael Spannocchi from Herrsching want to implement this idea online from November - under the name "janori".

Herrsching

- “We love good food and are always looking for something special.

We think that when it comes to food in particular, it is very desirable if people are supplied directly by people, ”says the couple, who come from completely different business areas.

He, 45 years old and from Vienna, is a foreign trade clerk in the field of event technology - she, 32 years old, was born in Starnberg and grew up in Penzberg, and works as an actress and cabaret artist under her maiden name Effenberger.

They already had the idea of creating a great togetherness last year.

At that time it was still a farm shop in the usual sense of the word with a shop where special ecologically produced products are available.

Then came the lockdown.

He was forced to offer the two freelancers time to develop their idea further.

The result is a farm shop on the Internet.

“We want people to buy from other people”, is how the Spannocchis formulate their basic idea.

This works online by giving the producer a face there.

"We tell its story and present it and the product." There should be a video and product photos for each manufacturer.

The Spannocchis take care of both.

"People should experience people who stand behind the food, who make their craft with love." Above all, away from mass production.

Johanna and Raphael Spannocchi are responsible for the presentation, Aaron Berbuer helped with the graphics.

He also had the final idea for the business name "janori".

A combination of letters from the names of the two company founders.

"It should be easy to remember, it should be short and cheerful," says Raphael Spannocchi.

And the name shouldn't exist yet.

This is how "janori" came about.

There are currently twelve producers who will be selling their products in the janori online farm shop from November 1st.

These include the Ammersee coffee roastery, Stefan Vogler from Inning, nut balls from Gipfelpuls from Munich, “ChocQlate” and the small producer Greininger Honig.

The Königstein Mühle, which is currently moving from Breitbrunn to Kerschlach with its tahini production, will also come on board.

The aim is to add two new products on average every month.

“We try to keep a balance, which means that the range can remain in stock,” says Raphael Spannocchi.

The only problem that the start-up couple has not yet solved one hundred percent is sustainable shipping, which incidentally takes place via a logistics service provider in Mühldorf.

“The main problem is the packaging,” explains Johanna Spannocchi.

In order to be able to work as CO2-neutrally as possible, the choice fell on recycled cardboard boxes, which are currently being tested in the Herrschinger apartment.

You can already browse the homepage at janori.de/password, and orders should also be possible at janori.de from the beginning of November.
