Participants in the work of the second session of the General Federation of Trade Unions Council discussed issues that contribute to supporting the national industry and improving the living conditions of workers.

A number of participants in the session, which is held in the General Union building in the presence of the Prime Minister, Engineer Hussein Arnous and a number of ministers, indicated the need to find a new mechanism to deal with the demands and concerns of workers and reconsider the decision to raise the price of the last industrial diesel that caused the price of materials to rise in the market and expedite the issuance of Administrative reform law and solving the problem of frequency protection for electricity networks due to losses incurred by factories as a result of sudden power cuts.

A number of participants called for a review of the tariffs of doctors and laboratories affiliated with the Ministry of Health and finding ways to support workers and improve their standard of living in light of the difficult economic conditions and the need to raise family compensation, implement feasible plans and strategies to reform the industrial sector, support the agricultural sector, secure its requirements, open agricultural roads in forests and woods in the coast, and preserve Manpower in the textile sector.

President of the General Federation of Trade Unions, Jamal Al-Qadri, affirmed in a speech that the working class that persevered and became clear deserves all the attention and support from us to improve its standard of living and raise its material income in line with the current situation and find other means to support it besides raising salaries and increasing incentives.

The ministers of communications, technology, industry, electricity, internal trade, consumer protection, health, social affairs, labor, transportation and finance, member of the central leadership of the Arab Socialist Baath Party, Muhammad Shaban Azouz, members of the executive office and heads of professional federations in the union participate in the work of the council.
