Everything happened this Sunday, at six in the morning.

A friend had lent Gerez his car to drive to his house, about 20 blocks away.

The victim's mother also said that, according to the police, "there are two boys who were witnesses" and they reported that after the fact the three perpetrators of the crime "pushed the car."

"We do not know for what purpose, if it was to throw him into the ditch or to try to get the car out of him. They pushed the car and threw it into a ditch," he added.

The woman also commented that the ambulance "took 40 minutes" to arrive at the scene and in this regard she said: "I don't know if they could have saved him, but they didn't do enough."

Romero also ruled out the possibility that his son had a conflict with someone who wanted to kill him, stating that "he had no problems with anyone."

"My son was 29 years old, he loved being a driver. He wanted to be a bus driver, he fought hard to have his job. His passion was River and the bus," he added.
