report that citizens in communities such as
Hohengehren

Ostfildern

Wernau received
the flyer.
On the note is a photo of a woman who is smiling, pulling the mask from her face.
The caption reads:
"Laughter is life!"
.
On the back of the leaflet, sources are noted that lead to Internet sites that have been criticized for spreading conspiracy theories. *

YouTube video by

Vera F. Birkenbihl
with the title “How laughter makes us healthier”.
According to
Stuttgarter Nachrichten, the
video has
nothing to do with the current corona crisis.

Another name that appears on the leaflet is that of an ear, nose and throat doctor from Sinsheim: Bodo Schiffmann *, a well-known corona skeptic, is involved in the “lateral thinker” movement.

Schiffmann is said to have called in a telegram group to distribute the flyers.

Chief physician invalidates statements made by opponents of the mask

, chief physician at the clinic for children and adolescents at the
Esslingen Clinic,
considers the statements on the leaflet to be unscientific and incorrect.
Surgeons and medical staff in the operating room have been wearing mouth and nose protection "for about 100 years," he told the
Stuttgarter Nachrichten
.
"Despite strenuous and demanding activity", there would not be
tiredness
,
poor concentration
,
dizziness
,
circulatory collapse
or the like, as the flyer claims.
The leaflet also refers, among other things, to the supposed dangers of
mold
and
bacteria
in the masks.
Von Schnakenburg invalidates this assertion: "Mold (and bacteria) can be detected in masks if they are worn for a long time and not changed or not
washed
."
The leaflet also states that masks do not protect against
viruses
.
The chief physician also considers that to be a
false statement
.
"The relative protection (40 to 80 percent fewer infections) has now been clearly proven in numerous studies," * he reports.
