A 40-year-old worker was electrocuted to death today (Tuesday) while operating a crane from a truck on HaZayit Street in Kiryat Ekron.
MDA staff evacuated him in critical condition to Kaplan Hospital, performing resuscitation operations on him, as he suffered extensive burns to his body. However, at the hospital the medical staff was forced to determine his death.
A police force arrived on the scene, a report was passed to the Ministry of Labor and an investigation was opened. the accident.

MDA paramedic Yehuda Marcus said that "when we arrived at the scene, the worker was lying next to the truck unconscious and a civilian was performing basic resuscitation operations on him.
We were told that during his work with the arm crane hit a high voltage line and he was electrocuted.
"We performed advanced resuscitation operations on him, which included massages, resuscitation, giving electric shocks from the pacemaker (defibrillator) and administering medication. We put him in the intensive care unit and evacuated him to the hospital while continuing to perform resuscitation operations when his condition was critical."
