Tan continued that the medical security benefits and children’s education allowances in the pilot’s new contract have been greatly reduced. For foreign pilots, they need to consider additional insurance and transfer to schools. Some pilots who are about to retire may be dismissed. If they lose their benefits, they all need time to decide whether to sign a new contract.

He said that employees who were pregnant and had work-related injuries were not laid off, but did not accept new contracts, and felt hesitated.
