Bulgaria announced today the imposition of new restrictions to curb the spread of the Corona virus, including the closure of nightclubs, high schools and universities.

Reuters reported that the Bulgarian authorities banned gathering in sporting events, calling for cinemas and theaters to be limited to 30 percent of their capacity until November 12, as well as imposing restrictions on the operation of restaurants.

Bulgaria announced the registration of 2,443 new cases of Coronavirus today, which is its highest daily infection rate, and its total number of infections increased to 40,143 cases since last March, in addition to 1,446 deaths.

In Germany, many politicians called for tightening restrictions to confront Corona today, on the eve of a meeting on the crisis.

Deputy Chancellor Olaf Schultz said in an interview with German news agency, "We must now take quick and decisive decisions in order to break this second wave of infection."

Media reports stated that Chancellor Angela Merkel calls for a "limited closure" that includes restaurants and bars, as well as a ban on public gatherings, with schools and nurseries remaining open.

Germany recorded 14,714 new cases of corona, while the total number of infections in the country due to the emerging corona virus reached 41,8005.
