Drivers can breathe a sigh of relief: on Friday, just in time for the autumn holidays, the B301 between Freising and Erlau will be released again.

Erlau

- Drivers were put to a long test of nerves: the B 301 between Freising and Erlau was completely closed for five months.

Commuters had to take long detours, residents of smaller communities who were on the bypass route, such as Palzing, suffered from the increased traffic load.

Now all those affected can breathe a sigh of relief: On Friday, the lock will be lifted in both directions.

This was announced by the Freising State Building Authority.

Blocking is lifted: absolute precision landing

It is an absolute precision landing.

Because already in May Josef Weigert from the Freising Road Construction Office announced that the B 301 between Freising and Erlau should be reopened on October 30th - at least if the weather cooperates.

The work involved the realization of the last section for the northeast bypass, which connects Freising and Marzling with Erlau and is supposed to free the B 301 from chronic traffic congestion.

In addition to extensive laying of power and water lines, a roundabout was built at the southern entrance of Erlau, which connects the B 301 with the new tangent.

In the area of Erlau there is now a sidewalk on both sides of the street, which is laid out as a pedestrian and cycle path on the eastern side, reports the building authority.

In addition, noise-reducing asphalt was installed, which reduces noise to protect the residents.

For the time being, traffic will be routed via the new district in the south of Erlau

The route between Erlau and Freising will be released on Friday afternoon, in time for the start of the holidays.

For the time being, traffic will be routed via the new roundabout in the south of Erlau on the old B 301 in the direction of Tüntenhausen and Freising.

And another piece of news reached the FT: The north-east bypass should also be opened to traffic in the fourth week of November.

At the moment only remaining work is blocked.

Road markings, crash barriers, delineator posts and traffic signs are still missing.
