Latin Grammy performances: Yatra, Bad Bunny and more

20 artists will be part of the musical presentations at the 21st edition of the Latin Grammy, the academy announced on Tuesday.

The Latin Grammys announced on Tuesday the final list of musical performances for the 21st Awards ceremony.

A total of 20 artists will be part of the most important night of Latin music.

They are Anuel AA, Caliber 50, Julio Reyes Copello, Alex Cuba, Guaynaa, Víctor Manuelle, Ricardo Montaner, Debi Nova, Raquel Sofía, Sebastián Yatra, Bad Bunny, Pedro Capó, Alejandro Fernández, Karol G, Kany García, Los Tigres del Norte, Marc Anthony, Christian Nodal, Fito Páez and Nathy Peluso.

Actress Rosalyn Sánchez and Mexican singer Carlos Rivera will lead the ceremony.

"Music humanizes us" will be the banner of this year's ceremony, conceived in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, which has paralyzed the world with millions of cases and hundreds of thousands of deaths and which has caused a growing list of cancellation of events.

Latin Grammy 2020: the changes due to the pandemic

In August, the Latin Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences announced that the ceremony would take place despite the pandemic.

«The night will be a tribute to musical excellence and the impact of music.

An artistic manifestation that allows us to show solidarity, compassion and hope by transcending languages, cultural barriers and current global challenges, "said the president and CEO of the Academy, Gabriel Abaroa Jr., through a statement.

"We are proud to recognize artists who with the excellence of their music bring us joy in times of despair," added Abaroa Jr.

Among the nominees in this edition, the Colombian reggaeton artist J Balvin stands out, who leads the list with 13 nominations.

Bad Bunny follows, with nine;

Ozuna, with eight, and Anuel AA, Josh Gudwin and Colin Leonard, with seven nominations, each.

The 21st installment of the Latin Grammy Awards will be broadcast on Thursday, November 19, at 8 pm Miami time on Univision.
