Raid on the Eilat municipality: 16 workers were arrested and detained on suspicion of bribery, including a senior official

Lahav 433 and the Tax Authority arrested the employees, including the bank's vice president, a contractor and a senior official at the Eilat Economic Company, following a large-scale covert investigation. Eight people were arrested and eight were detained today (Tuesday) in Eilat on suspicion of public corruption.

Among those detained were employees of the municipality, vice president of one of the banks in the city, a contractor and a company official economic Eilat. 16 suspected bribery, fraud and breach of trust, fraud under aggravating circumstances, as well as offenses under the Money Laundering Law and the Income Tax Ordinance.
