At 3:30 this (27th) afternoon, a 60-year-old man was working on a construction site outside the San Wai Barracks in Fanling. During this period, he was suspected of slipping from a place 2 meters above the ground to a depth of about 5 to 6 meters. In the pit, other workers immediately called the police for help. The fire rushed to the scene to rescue the man. He fell into a coma and was taken to the Prince of Wales Hospital by ambulance.

It was seen at the scene that the sign at the entrance of the site read "Military restricted area, no unauthorized entry", and police officers entered the site to investigate the cause of the accident.
