New musical works and perspectives in the field of instrumental composition, the essence of the evening, which was revived this evening by the Syrian National Orchestra for Arab Music, led by Maestro Adnan Fathallah, on the stage of the opera theater in Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts.
The evening in which the musicians Muhammad Othman on the Bouzouq and Muhammad Namiq participated on the cello, in which the band broke the audience's habit of having singing works in its evenings, in order to achieve one of the group's goals in presenting new creative Syrian experiences in the field of musical composition and orchestral distribution.
The band presented a group of instrumental music works, some of which are known, including what was shown for the first time. Lunga Hijaz performed and composed and distributed by Fathallah and a Syrian fantasy composed by Mahdi Al Mahdi and played a piece by Prince Muhammad Abdel Kazim, entitled Polka. Syrian Shaalan Al-Hamwi.
The evening included an improvisation of the viola instrument with the playing of the musician Marwan Abu Jahja and another improvisation on the oud played by Anas Al-Oudh, while Othman Sama'i played two works by Rawhi Al-Khammash.
Among the pieces that the band performed were the music of Nasser 56 film written and arranged by Yasser Abdel Rahman, and it was prepared by the late musician Iyad Othman to conclude the evening with the performance of the Basha piece written and arranged by Raed Jord and prepared by Narik Abjian.
It is noteworthy that the National Orchestra for Arab Music consists of seventy musicians and singers formed with the establishment of the Higher Institute of Music in 1990 and restructured to take its professional form in 2003 by Maestro Essam Rafi, before Maestro Adnan Fathallah became its leader since 2013.
