When asked by our newspaper, Mayor Gerhard Braunmiller named the reason for the pending corona tests.
As reported, two positive cases have been found among employees so far.
Therefore, all employees in the town hall are now being tested at a collective appointment.
Initially, the town hall was completely closed up to and including Wednesday.
“We want to be as safe as possible here,” explains Braunmiller.
Although the chain of infection has been determined, such an exclusion process carries a residual risk that the city wants to exclude as far as possible.
He himself has now tested negative and will be back in town hall from Monday.
Category 1 contacts who have been in contact with an infected person for more than 15 minutes will remain in quarantine until next week.

Overall, the mayor praises the willingness of the employees in his house to cooperate: “There is a great understanding of this situation.

Everyone agrees that security is needed in these times. "
From a technical point of view, the closure of the town hall has no negative consequences.
“This does not affect any deadlines,” explains Braunmiller.

Changed opening times from Monday
Citizens who need a contact at the town hall in urgent cases can call 0 80 25/28 30.
From Monday, November 2nd, the town hall will be open again at the following times: Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Thursday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Due to the corona, it is no longer open on Thursday morning.
