"As far as Halloween is understood to mean that children dress up and go around the houses to collect sweets from the neighbors, this must be measured against the general contact restrictions in public spaces," says the Bavarian Ministry of Health.
Halloween 2020 despite Corona: Ultimately, it is about breaking chains of infection
For Munich * with the dark red alert, a maximum of five people are allowed to be in public space together.
Even if the celebration is not prohibited in principle, Bavaria's Minister of Health Melanie Huml (CSU) appealed to parents last week not to let their children go from door to door - as in previous years.
They should also not take part in “themed meetings” - not even on a reduced scale, explained the minister.
It is important to "minimize unnecessary contacts and break chains of infection".
Meanwhile, the test station on Theresienwiese is preparing for the mega-rush in the Corona winter.
