The World Series could not escape the fears of the coronavirus.
Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner was pulled from game six of the series before it ended with his team's triumph because he received a positive test for covid-19.

The celebration on the field by the Dodgers was carried out with masks.

"It's a bittersweet night for us," Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred said in an on-field interview on FOX Sports.
“We are glad we finished.
I think it's a great achievement for our players to complete the season, but obviously we are concerned when one of our players tests positive.
We found out during the game that Justin was positive.
He was immediately isolated to prevent the spread. '
On Twitter, Justin Turner thanked those who cared about him after testing positive for covid-19.
