The labor market in Daraa governorate entered the first facility for manufacturing tissue paper within the industrial zone of Daraa city.
The head of the Statistics and Planning Department in the Daraa Industry Directorate, Hussein Al-Jabr, stated in a statement to the SANA Economic Bulletin that the facility’s capital is 30 million Syrian Pounds and the value of its machines is about 10 million Syrian Pounds. It has provided several job opportunities, explaining that the facility took off production after it was duly licensed, and various types of incest are manufactured according to standard specifications. Al-Jabr added that Daraa governorate had several factories for the manufacture of paper napkins, which secure the governorate’s need and part of the local market’s needs in the years before the crisis, all of which were out of service.
The owner of the facility explained in a similar statement that the production capacity of the facility starts from one ton to one and a half tons per day, and it produces paper tissues according to the Syrian standard specifications, indicating that the raw materials are drawn from Daraa, which reduces the production cost and the product price compared to other varieties.
