Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced that Western countries are trying to camouflage their bad plans in the Western Balkans by accusing Moscow of harmful influence in the region.
Lavrov added in an interview with the Glass Srbsky newspaper, “There are no facts that prove this empty guesswork of the West,” indicating that his country's relations are broad and multi-directional with all countries of the region and are developing with absolute transparency, with full compliance with the rules of international law.
Lavrov pointed out that "Russia also continues to play an important role in the post-conflict settlement that the region witnessed in the 1990s," considering that his country "sees the western Balkans region in the future as a region of security, stability and cooperation."
