The town of Mexcaltitán, an island that can be reached after a 15-minute boat trip in the Riviera Nayarita, was once again designated as a “magic town” after that status was revoked in 2009.
The country's Ministry of Tourism designated 122 magical towns that represent the nation's traditions, such as architecture and customs that even refer to pre-Hispanic times.
